Are You a Follower?

At IEW we have a lot happening all of the time. And it’s all good stuff, too! From the writing contests to the product giveaways to the podcasts, there is always something new to check out. While that’s a really good thing, it makes it a little challenging to stay on top of everything. Fortunately, you don’t have to. We have a notification system that allows you to select the types of updates you wish to see.

Do you want extra support in a welcoming community from certified IEW instructors, IEW staff, and other teachers, parents, and facilitators? Join our forums! There are many different forum departments, including ones dedicated to homeschool parents and teachers; homeschool group classes, co-op facilitators, tutors, and administrators; full-time schoolteachers and administrators; and soon a forum filled with helpful files. Contained within each category are a number of topics ranging from grammar to teaching special needs students, to addressing high school needs and more. And you can choose to follow the forums. Before you can select how you want to set up your following preferences, though, you must first become a member. Once that’s done, you can go in under your account and select the “Notification Settings” tab to configure it to alert you how you wish. One of the easiest ways to stay connected is to request the “Daily Digest Email,” which will send you posts that were made within the past twenty-four hours. Take a peek at the screenshot that shows you how to set it up:

Setting your forums up this way ensures that you will never miss a post, but you can also select individual threads to follow if you prefer. If you find a particular thread useful to you and want to know whenever it is updated, click on the blue “Follow this Content” button at the top of the thread, and you will be alerted.

Our forums are not the only places where you can get updated notifications. You can also sign up to receive alerts in many other areas, including

  • The monthly homeschool e-newsletter: This newsletter will keep you connected to all that’s happening around IEW, including current contests, product giveaways, and IEW events.

  • Event notifications in your geographic area: Never miss an opportunity to see Andrew Pudewa or attend a workshop again!

  • The IEW blog weekly digest: Our blog is a fabulous source of news, inspiration, and education. You can sign up for the digest, or you can select individual posts to follow by going to the post and selecting the blue “Follow this Content” at the end of the post.

  • New podcast notifications: Join Andrew Pudewa, Julie Walker, and special guests as they gather weekly to put out a new podcast. Not only can you receive updates when new casts are released, you can also subscribe through iTunes, Google Play, Stitcher Radio, and RSS feed.

As you can see, there are many ways you can connect and follow us through our website, but did you know you can also connect with us through social media? We regularly post on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Pinterest. It’s a wonderful way to receive updates about contests, workshops, and product giveaways. And if you love video, follow us at our IEW YouTube channel, IEWTV. Catch the latest “Joke of the Month,” or tune into product descriptions. It’s a great way to stay connected!

Whether you want to never miss something new or only want to stay in touch in specific areas, we have created ways for you to receive the content you want. If you haven’t connected with us yet, we encourage you to do so now. That way you can be assured you will receive the news and posts you want, how you want them.
