AmyJoy Stoesz
My name is AmyJoy Stoesz. I have been teaching for over 23 years! I hold a Washington State Teacher Certificate and am certified to teach all subjects in kindergarten through eighth grade. I also have an endorsement for English and am certified to teach fourth through twelfth grade English. I have taught in both public and private schools here in the United States, as well as overseas in China. In addition to being a classroom teacher, I have been a director of Education at a Sylvan Learning Center, co-led a one-room schoolhouse here in Washington, and have prepared high school students for the verbal portion of the SAT. For several years, I tutored first generational high school students from Hong Kong. Currently, I teach in-person writing classes. While I have years of experience working with academically strong students, I also have nearly twenty years of experience teaching students with learning differences. I believe education should be individualized, creative and inspiring. For this reason, I make an intentional effort to individualize my teaching to meet students at their levels.
