While teachers and students are winding down the school year and looking forward to the summer break, school administrators know that they are going to be busier than ever. One of the most important tasks on an administrator’s admittedly long to-do list is to place the curriculum orders for the upcoming school year. IEW wants to help with that so that everyone, not just teachers and students, can enjoy a bit of that summer sunshine!
Before contacting us, chat with your teachers. Find out how their year went. How did their students grow over the academic year? Do your teachers have any questions about IEW? Did they feel as if their students were placed in the correct curriculum level? After you gather their feedback, contact us. Our Schools Department Team is standing ready to take it from there.
When you meet with our Schools Department Team, share the feedback you’ve gathered about the prior year. This is also the perfect time to share staffing updates. We want to provide support to your teachers year-round. Having an accurate list of your school’s teachers and email addresses allows us to send monthly support emails that provide meaningful information about the unit they are working in with their students, opportunities for professional development, and invitations to special events. These emails also foster collaborative relationships between your IEW advisor and your teachers. When teachers know their point of contact, they are much more likely to reach out when they need support. As Implementation Coach Jeff Nease often remarks, “When teachers feel supported, students thrive.”
After the meeting you will have a solid understanding of which materials will best suit your students for the upcoming year. You are ready to request a quote, which we have made easier this year. Gather the following information and visit this link.
- a list of the requested products and quantities needed
- your preferred shipping method
- the name and email address for the purchasing account connected to your school
- the billing email address
- the billing mailing address
- the shipping address
- indication if your school is tax exempt
- any other pertinent information you wish to share
Once you’ve gathered your quote(s) and have made a purchasing decision, place your order early! Many school budgets open July 1. Ordering directly through IEW may also provide additional perks. The biggest benefit of ordering early is knowing that you will receive your curriculum in plenty of time to distribute the teacher training materials and/or teacher curriculum manuals to all of your educators.
