Happy New Year! For the first podcast of 2022, Julie Walker invited Denise Kelley into the recording studio to discuss the exciting launch of the fourth edition of Fix It! Grammar. As Senior Product Manager, Denise is involved in every aspect of product development. Beginning with either the conception of the idea for a new product or working on a product that IEW offers but is in need of updating, Denise oversees the entire process until it is finally sent off to the shipping department for printing and distribution.

In this episode of the podcast, Denise and Julie discuss the origins of Fix It! Grammar, which extend several years back to when Andrew Pudewa provided what he called “By Not Me” activities for his students to work on. These were short paragraphs that were peppered with grammatical errors that his students identified and corrected. Tracing the program’s evolution over the years, Denise and Julie arrive at the current (fourth) edition, which they discuss and differentiate from the previous one. Listening to the episode, you will learn how the latest edition offers much improved instructional components to the teacher, providing smoother transitions from level to level of each of the six levels in the series. Also, you will learn about some of the additions that have been made to the levels, all of which make this latest edition such a welcome improvement over the prior one.

At the end of the episode, Julie also announces a drawing to the listeners: IEW will give six people the level of their choice of the new Fix It! Grammar program. To enter the drawing, click here.
