Classic Learning Test – A Conversation with Jeremy Tate: Podcast Episode 357

Jan 25, 2023 | Posted by the IEW Blog Team

Join Andrew Pudewa and Nathan King as they interview Jeremy Tate, Founder and CEO of the Classic Learning Test (CLT). Knowing that testing tremendously influences curriculum development in secondary education, Jeremy developed the CLT to connect students with richer, more meaningful content. In just seven years, the CLT has gained tremendous traction. It is now accepted by over two hundred colleges as a complete replacement for the ACT and SAT exams.

The CLT aims to be a part of reclaiming education that is focused on cultivating virtue and moral character. “Classic” in Classic Learning Test refers to its use of the greatest and most enduring texts that have informed and shaped society. While students with a classical education background may have encountered the authors of the CLT texts chosen, a classical education is not a prerequisite. Students from all educational backgrounds can take the test.

Tune in to this podcast to learn more about Jeremy’s journey and the vision of the CLT!
