While Andrew was away from the office this past week, Julie Walker sat down with Nathan King, one of IEW’s project managers. Nathan has worked for IEW for a little over two years, but prior to joining the company, he spent more than a decade working as a youth pastor and serving as a tutor in his local Classical Conversations group. Through his experiences as a pastor and a tutor, Nathan has seen firsthand the value that memorization plays in education and in life. Out of his experiences, he and his wife have developed a game called Bible Quest that strengthens a student’s recall of biblical events and people.

Realizing that games make memorizing information enjoyable, he created Bible Quest to help parents teach their children Biblical literacy. During the conversation, Nathan shares several valuable tips for including memorization in education, all of them designed to be fun and engaging. Memorizing information not only helps in education, it helps in life. If you are looking for ways to help your students or perhaps even yourself learn and retain information, listen to this podcast. And if you are interested in teaching your students Biblical facts, check out Bible Quest as well.
