Catching Up on Conventions: Podcast Episode 316

Apr 06, 2022 | Posted by the IEW Blog Team

For years Andrew Pudewa has traveled the globe, delivering presentations at homeschool conventions. While these conventions might have “homeschool” in the name, they are insightful events for any educator, whether a homeschool parent or a full-time schoolteacher. On the podcast Julie Walker actually refers to them as “education conventions.”

So far this year Andrew has already attended one convention and plans to attend several more. Three new presentations are on the docket for what he will be sharing at these conventions. In podcast Episode 316 Andrew gives a sneak peek at what these talks entail. They are as follows:

  • “The Ten Best Questions We Ever Got”

Andrew actually co-delivers this talk with Read Aloud Revival’s founder, Sarah Mackenzie. Both being educators and parents, the duo list and answer the best questions they have received over the years.

  • “The Three, Maybe Four, Best Things I Did as a Homeschool Dad”

Andrew shares stories of the things that he believes improved his home education culture. If you listen to the podcast, you can hear what the four things are!

  • “Preparing for Persecution”

Andrew hopes this talk, in order to preserve important values, will encourage others to be prepared physically, mentally, and spiritually for a time of uncertainty.

Give the podcast a listen to get a preview of what Andrew’s new talks are about. Click here to see if there is a homeschool convention near you, and you just might be able to hear Andrew speak in person!
