IEW Instructor

Tina McMahel earned her bachelor’s degree in early childhood education from San Jose State University. She has over eighteen years of homeschooling experience and was introduced to IEW in 2008 when her oldest son was enrolled in a local IEW class. After observing a dramatic transformation in his writing skills, she knew this was no ordinary writing class. She eventually became an accredited IEW instructor, sharing IEW with other students through group classes, one-on-one tutoring, and has worked with elementary, middle, and high school students. Tina enjoys seeing so many reluctant writers flourish through the IEW program and is excited to be a part of influencing young writers by teaching for IEW Online classes. She also enjoys supporting families as part of IEW’s customer service team as a customer service agent. In her spare time, she loves to cook, create stained glass projects, travel, and spend time with family.
