Teaching Experience
An experienced tutor and classroom teacher, Gloria enjoys helping students think and write with clarity and vivacity. With fifteen years of formation in Dominican active and monastic life (2004–2019), she has a profound appreciation for the power of the word, which Hebrews 4:12 describes as “living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword.” The Scriptural reference predates the famous adage, “The pen is mightier than the sword.” Coaching students according to the methods of the Institute for Excellence in Writing prepares future leaders to communicate truth, goodness, and beauty effectively.
Gloria M. Chang holds a Secondary Social Studies endorsement from Eastern Michigan University, an M.A. in Theology from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, and a B.A. in Japanese Studies from Wellesley College.
