Tutoring sessions cater to students in grades 3 through 10, offering a dynamic and enjoyable learning experience. Each session spans approximately 60 to 75 minutes, occurring once a week. The 24-week schedule incorporates well-timed breaks for a balanced learning approach. Within each class, we delve comprehensively into lesson material, with a specific focus on reinforcing grammar elements and introducing stylistic nuances every week.
In close collaboration with families, my commitment is to tailor tutoring sessions to the unique needs of each learner. Sessions are flexible, accommodating both in-person and virtual formats. For families in the Holly Springs, Cary, and Apex (NC) area, in-person sessions can be arranged at your residence, within reasonable driving distance. Additionally, collaborative group sessions are available for families interested in joint learning experiences.
I incorporate the highly effective “Structure and Style for Students (SSS)” in my teaching sessions, engaging students in various themes while utilizing different structural units from the Institute for Excellence in Writing (IEW). Moreover, I have extensive experience teaching theme-based IEW material, including “Ancient History”, “Medieval History”, “U.S. History”, and “Wonders of Science”. There are also numerous other theme-based writing options to explore. I firmly believe in guiding learners to choose subjects that genuinely ignite their interest.
