Amanda Friesen
Hello, my name is Amanda Friesen. I have been an educator since 1990. Upon graduating from Wheaton College with a degree in Elementary Education, I taught 1st grade for six years. My husband Paul and I have four children, all of whom were homeschooled using the Institute for Excellence in Writing (IEW) curriculum. Over the years I have taught a variety of home school co-op classes. My most rewarding experience has been teaching writing composition. With over fifteen years of experience using IEW, I delight in helping students discover the tools for effective communication. I enjoy teaching IEW to every type of learner. The IEW composition course can be easily expanded to inspire the verbose student to greater clarity. The course is also designed to be adapted to suit the needs of the struggling learner. In the fall of 2024, I am offering Ancient History - Based Writing Lessons in Elbing, Kansas. Beginning September 17th class will meet from 12:55-:00-1:55 pm.
