On July 25, 2026, we warmly invite you to attend the IEW Annual Educators’ Conference. This special online and in-person event is a great way to invest in yourself as you transition toward summer and all of the academic planning for the upcoming school year. Conference attendees will join from all over the world, creating many opportunities for collaboration and encouragement. Beginning at 9:00 AM Central Time, the day will be filled with four sessions specifically designed to empower and encourage you to be the best possible educator you can be. We want to highlight two sessions in particular.

However Imperfectly: Lessons Learned from Thirty Years of Teaching

In this talk Andrew Pudewa shares many humorous experiences (and painful lessons) he has learned over thirty years of teaching and homeschooling. You will be challenged, reassured, and sure to leave with an expanded vision of your calling as a home educator.

AI or RI: Should We Even Teach Math, Spelling, and Writing?

Technology will atrophy the skill it replaces. While this is not a new problem, it seems to now be a controversy on steroids. What tasks should we delegate to artificial intelligence, and what should we retain as real intelligence? Why? Join Andrew Pudewa as we look at some basic things humans have taught and learned for years while we contemplate some possible answers to this rapidly growing question: When and how should students begin using AI?

Visit the event landing page to view the full schedule. It will be a day filled with education, inspiration, and encouragement. Even if you can’t join us live, please register so that you will automatically receive the link to the conference recording when the conference is over. We look forward to having you join us!
