Advanced U.S. History-Based Writing Lessons [Student Book only]
in Structure, Style, Grammar, and Vocabulary
† Contains distinctly Christian content
As students write about Jamestown, the California Gold Rush, and more, they will develop advanced writing skills such as thesis statements, MLA format, persuasive essays, research papers, and more. This course is designed for students with at least one year of experience with IEW at the high school level.
Literature suggestions and access to vocabulary cards and other helpful PDF downloads are included. The Teacher's Manual includes creative lesson planning tips, vocabulary quizzes, and answer keys.
This book is designed to be used by an instructor who has been through or is currently viewing the Teaching Writing: Structure and Style video seminar.
While suggested activities in Janice Campbell's third edition of Excellence in Literature: American Literature are included, they are optional. IEW no longer carries Excellence in Literature products.
Note: The Student Resource Notebook is a necessary component of this course. This supplemental resource is included with your purchase as an e-book for you to download and print. (If you did not place your order online through our website, please check the blue page for download information.)
