For over seventeen years, I have devoted my teaching career to Special Education, instructing students with diverse learning challenges. Holding a Saskatchewan Professional A Teaching Certificate, I am officially listed in the Public Registry of the Saskatchewan Professional Teachers Regulatory Board.

Not only have I earned a Master of Education in Special Education, but I have also completed a Bachelor of Education, a Bachelor of Science, and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Special Education, all from the University of Saskatchewan in Canada. My teaching experience extends across public schools, online platforms, and even in a homeschool environment with my own children.

Passionate about structured literacy, I specialize in tutoring students with dyslexia and other reading difficulties using an Orton-Gillingham methodology. I am certified in the Barton Reading & Spelling System, and I completed the required coursework in Orton-Gillingham training for both the Classroom Educator and Associate levels through Learn Literacy, an approved training agency of the Academy of Orton-Gillingham Practitioners and Educators. Because of this, I am also listed in the International Dyslexia Association’s Professional Directory as a structured literacy tutor.

Beyond individual tutoring, I enthusiastically teach group writing and grammar classes using materials from the Institute for Excellence in Writing. By combining explicit instruction with engaging activities, I strive to equip students with the skills they need to become confident, capable writers.
