An Experienced IEW Instructor renewing accreditation shows evidence of continued IEW education by listening to or watching six hours of IEW audio recordings, live workshops, or webinars (excluding Teaching Writing: Structure and Style seminar). Additionally, the instructor digitally submits a Unit 8 practicum assignment and two graded student papers. (This should not be your own child.) The two graded student papers should be from a struggling or average student at the highest level that you teach. For example, if you teach Level A and Level B classes, submit two papers from a Level B student. If you teach Level A, Level B, and Level C classes, submit two papers from a Level C student. One graded paper should be from the beginning of the year, and the second paper should be from the end of the year.
Submit the $20 nonrefundable renewal application fee.
Within two business days after the application and payment have been processed, you will receive an email with instructions to submit your Unit 8 practicum assignment (KWO, rough draft, final draft) and graded student papers on IEW® Gradebook.
