All About Spelling We recommend "All About Spelling" for the younger grades. It is an Orton-Gillingham based phonetic spelling program that is comprehensive with mastery learning. All About Spelling presents the spelling rules incrementally using tiles and word cards so that any student can succeed with spelling. It is effective for dyslexics. Although it is not a reading program, the rules taught for encoding (forming a word from the sounds) are very helpful for decoding (reading) as well.
Reading Help for Learning Disabled Students Susan Barton developed a reading program that is very effective for teaching dyslexic children. For more information on her program, click here. For more information on dyslexia, click here.
Classical Conversations Classical Conversations exists to undergird and empower home school families in their schooling journey. Patsy Stevens, a retired teacher has generously placed all her years of teaching ideas, tips, resources, and continued wisdom on a free-access website.
