Designed with the foundational needs of primary students in mind, this workshop is an introduction to the Teaching Writing: Structure & Style methodology, which focuses on the ability of the key word outline to address organization, reasoning, content, and collaboration. This workshop presents six different composition models and six stylistic techniques. Participants will have “hands-on” practice in learning a language-rich, developmentally appropriate method that uses oral and choral reading and extensive modeling to teach beginning writing skills.
