Units 1 & 2: Introduction to IEW - Level A, (Grades 3-5)
1:00–2:30PM
Students will be taught to create a Key Word Outline—the foundation for all IEW writing—and retell, represent, and dress up that work using various stylistic techniques.
Grade levels are approximate; no previous IEW experience is presumed.
Cost: $30.00/student (Registration closes March 22, 2018 at 1PM.)
Teachers and parents may observe at no cost.
Advanced Workshop
Student should have some IEW experience or have completed one of the Introduction to IEW classes offered earlier in the day.
Unit 7: Inventive Writing (Grades 5–10)
3:00–5:00PM
Students will learn to tackle the “blank page” by retrieving information from their brains, creating a key word outline, writing a multiple paragraph essay, and applying selected stylistic techniques. Grade levels are approximate; for students who have had a year or more of practice with IEW methods.
Cost: $30.00/student (Registration closes March 22, 2018 at 1PM.)
Teachers and parents may observe at no cost.
